Totems are with us from the moment of our birth and remain with us for the duration of our lifetime.Different cultures have different ideas of the representation of different directions and so totems and all I write here is what I have found from personal experience and guidance. I will also only be talking about five totems as I find that plenty to be going on with! Totems are directional and so we have a different one for each of the four directions and the fifth here is in the central space.

Totems do not only have to be animals.They can also be crystals,mythical beasts,insects,reptiles,fish and plants.Our totems make up one third of our true self when all of their energies are mixed together.Another third is made up of our ego personality which relates to this lifetime only and the final third is given to us by finding our Ancestral Totem,which symbolises the culimation of all lifetimes lived so far.

In the East we find our visionary totem,this is the totem that looks ahead to visualise our goals and desires and plans out what may be necessary to get you to that point.

In the South we find our warrior totem.This totem shows us how we relate to our environment and how we survive among other people.This totem can be called upon if we wish to find direction in our life when other people are involved,especially if we cannot make up our minds within a certain situation.This totem brings absolute truth.

In the West we find our dreamer totem,this is the totem which helps us to bring our actions from the dreamtime into the material world and make things manifest fully into our lives.

In the North you will find you healer totem.The energies of this totem show us how best we can bring about healing change within our own lives.

In the central space we find the totem that represents who we are when not being swayed by outside influences.This totem shows us who we are when quiet still and centered.This totem can be called on when all around you is upside down and you need to remain calm so as to guage the best course of action for yourself without emotional interferance.
